On the evening of Friday 16 June 2017, the Bidborough Gardening Association arranged a visit to the delightful garden of Falconhurst at Markbeech, opened exclusively for us in aid of the NGS. This is a 4 acre garden with fabulous views, designed and cared for by the same family for 160 years. It comprises of deep mixed borders with old roses, peonies, shrubs and a wide variety of herbaceous and annual plants; ruin garden; walled garden; interesting mature trees and shrubs; kitchen garden; wildflower meadows with woodland and pond walks.

It was a lovely warm evening and everyone enjoyed exploring the garden and a glass of wine, soft drinks and nibbles.
