The BGA Bristol Garden Holiday took place from 10 to14 September and was enjoyed by all of the 36 members that went. The nice sunny weather helped, staying mostly dry, although it was a tad cold out of the sun, and visiting 7 different, but excellent gardens, during the trip.

We stayed at the Arnos Manor Hotel, just outside Bristol and visited Cliveden House and Garden on the outward journey and Avebury Manor and Gardens, including the historic Avebury Henge and standing stone circle on the return journey.

While in Bristol we visited 5 more gardens, which included Iford Manor, The Newt in Somerset, The Courts Garden, The Bishops Palace at Wells Cathedral, The American Gardens near Bath and we also spent half a day exploring the wonderful city of Bath.

We can’t wait for the next holiday in September 2025, which will be to Cambridge and the gardens there. More about this soon.
