Sunday 30 June 2024, 1-5pm, in aid of the National Garden Scheme

There are 4 gardens to visit as described below:

Boundes End, 2 St Lawrence Avenue offers both formal and informal areas to sit and enjoy the herbaceous borders, including interesting plants, specimen trees, pergolas, a ‘dry stream’, an old tools display and a fire circle.

  • Homemade teas available
  • Plants for Sale

Sheer Drop, Penshurst Road is a terraced garden created and designed by Roger Platt (Chelsea Gold Medallist). There is a cottage garden with a mix of plants and shrubs, and although it is a ‘young’ garden it is already looking well established. Walk through the moon gate and down to the small pond, and enjoy wonderful views from the garden across the Bidborough countryside towards the village church.

  • Limited Wheelchair access

4 The Crescent is a new garden, which 3 years ago had just a few unappealing shrubs down one side. A sense of a cottage garden has been created, which is a peaceful and calming space where plants will grow together as the years progress.

5 Darley Lodge, 7 Darley Drive is a formally landscaped front garden with a circular lawn, paving and lavender surrounding a large Acer. The rear garden has been redesigned over the years, creating different areas around garden, including two mature rose beds.
