Summer Show – The results of the “Virtual” Summer Show are now posted on the Flower Show Page. Congratulations to everyone that entered the fun event and won prizes.

Open Gardens – In these troubled Coronavirus times many members have spent much of the lockdown out in the fresh air working on their gardens. The gardens are now in tip top condition, but nobody can see them! The restrictions don’t allow us to have our normal BGA Open Gardens this year, but we don’t want all the efforts to go to waste so we are intending to photograph members gardens and feature one garden a week on the BGA web-site. This is subject to enough members volunteering their gardens and sharing photographs of them. Please contact Mike or Carole Marks, via by e-mail (michael.marks7@btinternet.com) if you would like to do this to show off your garden.

We are kicking this scheme off with a visit to Carrie and Matt’s garden. This is a small new garden that hadn’t been touched for many years. Click on the Open Garden page to see the garden.

Coronavirus is having a large impact on all our lives and as you would expect it is also impacting our BGA programme schedule. The BGA Committee are continuing to meet, virtually via Zoom software to manage the progamme so keep a eye on this web-site and Glenys’s e-mails to keep up to date with what is going on and what is being cancelled.

Programme Update –  Although there is a slight easing to the Coronavirus restrictions the Committee has reluctantly decided to cancel the Summer Outing to RHS Wisley planned for Sunday 2 August (we expect to rearrange this for 2021) and to postpone to next year the Cornwal Garden Holiday due in September.
